Premier Performance Products is looking for its next sales enthusiast to join our team as a Sales Account Manager.
The Account Manager is responsible for business development within a given territory, as well as identify an bring on new dealers while creating and implementing business development plans to ensure an increase in sales. The Account Manager also identifies opportunities to grow existing dealers, and is required to have extensive knowledge of our product lines and automotive knowledge while assisting customers in finding the right products for their needs. Requires communicating with customers through phone and email, as well as receive inbound calls and follow up on sales quotes through outbound calls. This position has a high level of independent judgment and reports to the Director of Sales.
Where you’ll spend your time:
- Contact prospective customers and try to create relationship by explaining product availability, product features, benefits of doing business with us and soliciting dealer applications. This includes research and creating lists of prospective customers and making cold calls
- Set up new dealers using company guidelines and SOP’s
- Analyze customer trends including revenue and margin
- Develop and follow a call plan for assigned territories; create a regular rotation so customers are contacted at expected frequency
- Recommend products to customers based on the customer's needs and benefits to their business
- Answer customers questions about products, prices, availability, shipping charges, credit terms, dealer applications, and other contract information
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ product pricing and report back
- Take calls from the Technical Sales and Customer Service department
- Perform administrative duties such as reviewing dealer applications, setting up accounts, placing orders etc.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support; secure and renew orders, place orders, and arrange for shipment
- Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, maintenance and other product related questions
- Take or enter orders, cancel orders, track orders, or obtain details of complaints. Keep records of interactions
- Follow up on quotes in order to promote products and increase customer satisfaction
- Work with internal departments and external business partners to resolve customer issues
- Other duties as assigned.
You have/possess:
- High school diploma or GED plus 2-4 years’ of related work experience and/or a combination of 2-4 years work experience and education
- Associates degree in related field plus 2 years’ related work experience in sales or customers service OR combination of education and work experience (preferred)
- Ability to identify sales opportunities through identifying customer business objectives, pricing concerns, and other needs
- Strong product knowledge and ability to use independent judgement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Customer-oriented attitude with a strong desire to go above and beyond the needs of customers; ability to overcome customers’ stalls and objections
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
- Proficient using MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook to perform job duties
- Must be able to understand customer time constraints, budget, and goals
