Front Desk Receptionist / Richardson
Premier Physical Therapy is an outpatient therapy clinic looking for an outgoing, well organized experienced Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. This position requires a significant amount of multi-tasking while providing personalized compassionate care to our patients.

About us: Premier Physical therapy is an outpatient physical therapy practice that specializes in orthopedic, spinal, and sport injuries. We are connected with Lake Pointe Orthopedics and their orthopedic surgeons on staff. Our patient centered treatment focuses on working together to provide a specialized care approach for each of our patients. Whether a patient is recovering from surgery, trying to avoid surgery, or just wanting to return to their active lifestyle we understand and are committed on achieving those goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Scheduling new patient evaluations and assisting patients with re-scheduling. This task requires that you maintain the flow of visits placing appointments in the right time slots. Keeping the schedule booked with new patients and tracking the incoming referrals. Experience with Excel helpful.
· Verifying patients Insurance benefits prior to appointment and obtain prior authorizations when necessary. Experience with workers comp authorizations is not required but helpful.
· Coordination of care. Providing treatment plans to the appropriate treating physicians to obtain signatures on the plan of care. This also includes tracking the visit limits within that plan of care. Making sure patients don’t go over their visit limitations and or are re-evaluated for progress at the visit limit.
· Collecting co-pays, deductibles and self-pay fees associated with treatment. The right candidate will be assertive and driven to meet collection goals.
· Maintaining paperwork. Creating new patient packets and ensuring the patients receive the correct forms as well as the therapist. Scanning all signed documentation into the patient’s chart in a timely fashion.
· The face of the practice! Create a fun and inviting place for our patients to come to. Maintaining the lobby. Stocking the coffee bar. Putting entertaining shows on the TVs. Keep an upbeat playlist going in the gym. Build report with patients, remembering their names and carry on short but meaningful conversations. Foster healthy relationships with your team. Anticipating each other’s needs providing support and assistance to the physical therapist and the therapy assistants.
The ideal Candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, has the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast paced environment in professional and courteous manner
