About your new role:
As our Financial Accountant you will be the mainstay of our accounting and finance organization. Relied on heavily by the Controller and VP of Accounting, you will own the general ledger systems including maintaining the chart of accounts and the reporting packages.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing financial statements and reports for Prent Corporation and its international subsidiaries. Coordinating the monthly financial close for Prent Corporation in WI and AZ, Puerto Rico, Baja and Costa Rica. You will reconcile the subsidiary intercompany accounts, daily banking activity, construction in progress and other balance sheet accounts. Other duties include preparing fiscal year audit and tax return schedules, days on hand inventory reports, and government surveys; reviewing daily purchase orders and weekly check runs for accuracy to prepare monthly sales and use tax returns; reconciling capital spend and projects.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 3 years’ experience in public accounting or private manufacturing preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including strong Excel spreadsheet and pivot table skills
- Strong organizational, problem solving, analysis, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional standards
