REPORTS TO VICE PRESIDENT
OBJECTIVE
Prep Baseball Report Tournaments core focus is to provide players and teams the highest level of exposure at quality venues, while catering to the needs of college coaches and pro scouts. We create an intimate atmosphere that will give the PBR scouting staff, as well as college and professional scouts, a setting to see top teams from their respective states and regions compete against each other. PBRT will use existing market relationships to execute multiple premium level events that focus on quality on field play while offering a best in class experience for players, teams, and scouts/coaches.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position leads the development and implementation of the Prep Baseball Report Tournament business model and the general growth of tournaments across the country. This position is being hired into PBR Tournaments, a subsidiary of Bullpen Ventures. The national executive director will build the national schedule of tournaments in each region, leading regional directors and lead operators to execute first-class tournaments. This position will conduct and oversee all national and regional tournaments, manage tournament budgets, train and hire regional directors, and oversee all functions of tournament scheduling and execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dynamic, team leader with a growth mindset and passion for executing successful baseball tournaments across the country.
- Develop and maintain a database of travel baseball coaches, facility contracts, and outside contacts.
- Develop annual national tournament schedules, secure facility contracts, and implement selling strategies to grow tournaments.
- Develop, train and lead regional directors, lead tournament operators and support staff.
- Oversee tournament scouting, equipment, shipping and operations of all events.
- Works directly with senior leadership to review financial projections and performance of tournament events to ensure revenue and expense goals are consistently met.
- Coordinates umpires, staffing, and facility schedules with regional directors.
- Supervises day-to-day operations of all tournament staff members, holding regular staff meetings to ensure a working understanding of tournament functions and responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills with a willingness to make new connections and lead people in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsible for long-range planning and goal setting with company ownership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sports/Event Management, or related field
- Minimum of three years involved in travel baseball, college baseball or administering events - Tournament experience preferred but not required
- Excellent Organizational and Project Management skills
- Strong moral character and unquestionable integrity
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Proven ability to display initiative and dynamic problem solving skills
- Driven to understand needs and desires of the customer
- Self starter, highly motivated
- Skills in planning and organizing, tournament management and managing multiple priorities
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
- High energy level is essential; strong, dedicated work ethic
- Ability to work proficiently within information systems
- Live in or relocate to the Indianapolis area to work in national offices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of professional experience in successful tournament/event management

Salary : $73,000 - $92,500
