Summary: '
The Printing Manager will be responsible for all printing production activities and coordinate between all departments ensuring quality requirements are met based on customer specifications. In addition, the printing manager will be responsible for oversight of the entire operation and all employee activities and productivity. This will include supervising the tooling and design department as well as the plate room. May be required to assist with all facets of the operation as necessary and/or train new employees.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
- Plan work schedules and assign adequate staff for effective performance
- Check specifications of all printing jobs
- Estimate material, time and staffing requirements
- Inventory supplies and requisition items as necessary
- Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure quality
- Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems
- Supervise maintenance of all equipment
- Evaluate employee performance
- Participate in the hiring process by reviewing credentials, interviewing, making hiring decisions or recommendations
- Assess training needs and arrange for appropriate instruction
- Responsible for all pressroom operations including safety, productivity, quality, customer relations, sales relations, employee relations and the financial performance of the department
- Provide overall leadership, direction and management of the activities of the pressroom
- Ensure compliance with company policies/procedures and with all Local, State and Federal Law regulations
Job Requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Advanced knowledge of printing processes and the printing industry
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services including needs assessment, meeting quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Must possess good planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong human relations skills to select, develop, mentor, discipline and reward employees
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comply with all company safety requirements, rules and regulations

- Operating knowledge and experience with personal computers and software
- Operating knowledge with Heidelberg printing press
- Comprehensive knowledge of color management and printing processes
- Comprehension knowledge of digital printing process

Shift availability:
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Day Shift (Required)

Requirements
- 5 years of experience and/or College Degree with emphasis on a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (Required)
- Supervisory/Leadership experience (Required)
- Knowledge using Microsoft Office/Google Email Service
