Description
Pride Electric is expanding to Arizona and is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Construction Controller. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.
Controller duties and responsibilities
· Oversee financial operations including AP/AR, job cost accounting, and payroll
· Maintain financial reports and general ledger accounts
· Coordinate quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits, and tax returns
· Maintain state registrations, business and tax licenses, etc.
· Lien Releases, Mechanic's Liens, and Collections
· Payroll, W-2's, and 1099's
· Preparation of financial forecasts and outlooks
· Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, annual operating plan, and reports required by regulatory agencies
· Aid in developing goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
· Analyze the financial details of past, present, and anticipated operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
· Ensure adherence to budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal
· Quarterly and Annual Payroll Reports – 940/941, SUTA, and Fuel Rebate Filing
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
· Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and social skills

· Sound written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
· Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
· Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities
· Prepare direct forecast income, expenses, and earning reports
· Project contract review and accounts with management team
Education
· BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other business-related field
· CPA/MBA preferred
Experience
· 5 years of construction financial management experience, including Accounting Department management, and financial reporting
· Computer skills including QuickBooks accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
· Outstanding technology, analytics, and management experience required
· Well-founded grasp of GAAP Accounting
· Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Proven knowledge of budget forecasting
· Accounts Receivable: AIA progress billing, managing lien releases, and inter company tie outs
