Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring for a Phlebotomist lll- floater to support our client’s medical facility based in Rocky River, OH. This is a 4-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• Has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
• Performs blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups.
• Performs specimen processing in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
• Performs order entry; retrieves and verifies patient collection data and patient special notations using appropriate sources.

Education/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

Schedule: 6:30 am to 5:00 pm

Pay Range: $18 to $21/hr

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
