Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Employment Coordinator to join our team. As an Employment Coordinator, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with disabilities find meaningful employment opportunities. Your expertise in training development, workforce development, and addiction counseling will be essential in supporting our individuals on their journey towards independence and success.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with employers to identify suitable job placements and create customized employment plans
- Conduct interviews and assessments to determine clients' strengths, interests, and goals
- Recruit potential employers and build partnerships within the community to expand job opportunities
- Provide ongoing support and mentoring to clients in the workplace, ensuring their successful integration and job retention
- Educate employers on disability-related accommodations, labor laws, and best practices for creating inclusive work environments
- Monitor client progress and maintain accurate records of employment outcomes
- Stay updated on current trends in employment services, disability rights, and workforce development
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling) preferred
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Strong knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations
- Excellent interviewing, recruiting, and mentoring skills
- Ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and establish professional relationships with employers
