Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year (Depending on Experience)

POSITION SUMMARY:

PrideNow is partnering with one of the largest privately held mechanical contracting, engineering, energy solution, and service organizations in New England to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager for their Springfield, MA location. The ideal candidate will oversee all design functions, manage a team of designers, and enhance the company’s design process to deliver high-quality solutions to customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Compile estimates for both design-build and plan & spec projects, including site visits to assess existing building systems and conditions.
• Develop comprehensive design documents, plans, and specifications for project management teams.
• Interpret contract documents independently and ensure adherence to in-house construction standards.
• Present design methods and constructability ideas to support design-build functions.
• Foster positive relationships with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Demonstrate expertise in codes, industry standards, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain or acquire Professional Engineer (PE) stamp in relevant states.
• Conduct heat load calculations and stay updated on engineering software.
• Provide value engineering solutions and support project profitability initiatives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in mechanical contracting or engineering.
• Strong interpersonal skills for regular customer interaction.
• Previous experience in estimating and designing mechanical projects.
