What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wire EDM Operator position at PrideStaff?
Our client in Northvale, NJ is seeking a Fulltime Direct Hire 1st shift WireEDM Operator.
Wire EDM Operator Responsibilities:
- Work from blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) files
- Set up and operate Electrical Discharge Machines as necessary for the manufacturing of specific tooling components.
- Perform routine maintenance on wire EDM machines for daily operation.
- Must be able to perform basic wire-EDM functions including removing slugs from workpieces.
- Ability to plan workload to maximize unattended operations of wire-EDM equipment.
- Measure, examine and test, completed components
- Ability to compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of components.
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as micrometers, comparators, dial indicators, gauge blocks, and load test equipment.
Requirements:
- Must be able to perform basic wire-EDM functions
- Completion of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Blueprint reading, metalworking, drafting classes.
- Lifting or pushing 50-250 pounds with assistance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
