What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Coach position at Primavera Online?
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Lead new teacher training and provide support for new teachers to the online modality.
- Lead team meetings and Professional Learning Communities (PLC) for instructional staff.
- Provide support for new and continuing teachers in analyzing student assessment data.
- Provide support for new and continuing teachers regarding classroom management and motivational strategies.
- Provide feedback to administration and professional development team for teacher evaluations.
- Model differentiated instruction strategies (technology, IEP, etc.).
- Assist teachers in aligning instruction with appropriate standards, curriculum and assessment expectations.
- Create detailed coaching plans, which include focused goals and measures of success, to drive learning cycles.
- Support teachers’ achievement of goals by using coaching strategies that gradually release responsibility for implementing instructional practices to the teacher (for example, co-planning, modeling, co-teaching, side-by-side coaching, and observing).
- Consistently analyze teacher practice through ongoing classroom observations, data analysis, and examination of student work.
- Provide clear and direct feedback to teachers based on analysis of practice.
- Track student and teacher progress to assess the effectiveness of coaching.
- Develop teachers’ capacity to collect and analyze multiple sources of data to improve student learning.
- Monitor student and teacher intervention programs.
- Design professional development sessions around school-wide goals and initiatives.
- Teach a reduced student load.
- Properly document issues, concerns, and important information concerning students and their families in the Student Information System (SIS).
- Other duties as requested by the PD team and administration.

- Ability to look at data analytically, showing excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills as it relates to continuous improvement for professional and personal growth.
Education/Training:
- Master’s degree (pref. Curriculum/Instruction or Educational Leadership)
- 3-5 years of teaching experience
- Current valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Teaching experience in an online K-12 environment
- Exceptional leadership skills and ability to develop a strong relationship with teachers, students, and parents
- Experience in online education preferred
- Must be able to work onsite in Chandler, AZ
