Our team is growing! We are looking for insurance verification and billing specialist, that is a key team member responsible for advanced computerized billing and electronic claim submission functions, with a specific focus on collections. This role involves handling difficult, demanding, and complex tasks, requiring specialized knowledge to modify existing methods, solve problems, and complete tasks, especially in the context of collections. Work is typically performed under general direction.
- Verify patient's insurance eligibility and obtain and file insurance documentation. Assist with updating plans for accuracy and maintaining codes and clinical requirements
- Working accounts relievable and outstanding insurance claims. Maintain follow up and documentation.
- Review and respond to patients' questions via phone & portal systems.
- You may perform routine billing functions such as posting patient encounters, encouraging payment, taking payments, and generating end-of-day reports.
- Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Experience: One year's experience in a clinic or dental office preferred.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptions. Ability to interact with patients, Providers and staff in a professional manner. Basic proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing insurance preferred. Ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
