The ADA Specialist Lead handles the complete cycle of the interactive process and accommodation cases, including return to work for non-occupational and occupational cases. The ADA Specialist Lead serves as the primary contact for employee's seeking reasonable accommodations through the interactive process. Ensures the interactive process and procedures are effectively executed and managed in accordance with federal, state and local regulations including research and resolution of complex case escalations, including direct employee, manager, and vendor interactions. The ADA Specialist Lead will collaborate with key stakeholders to facilitate the interactive process. The ADA Specialist Lead will be the point of contact for the ADA team providing them with guidance and recommendations regarding the interactive process, including correspondence and documentation review. Maintain accommodation case information in the company's HRIS/payroll systems. The ADA Specialist Lead is responsible for training the ADA team, new hires and all facilities. Audit accommodation cases to include creating and maintaining audit logs/tools, aggressive return to work strategies, and partner with legal on difficult case management. Partners with other members of the HR, Benefits and Payroll departments to provide guidance to employees and managers regarding the interactive process.

Required qualifications:
- Five years' experience in Human Resources in a benefits, leave management or generalist related position, with a minimum three (3) years' experience in leave of absence and ADA/interactive process administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state disability laws, specifically ADAAA, FEHA and FMLA/CFRA; experience with CA leaves required.
- Strong knowledge of the interplay between the FMLA/CFRA, workers' compensation, and the ADAAA.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of disability management, return-to-work strategies, ADAAA and related state and local statutes.
- Ability to analyze, problem solve, organize and manage multiple priorities, and effectively follow up in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships through strong interpersonal skills including consistent demonstration of solid professional judgement.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including effective presentation skills to all levels of the organization.
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience working in a Healthcare environment with a high volume of accommodation cases.
- Overall understanding of associate benefits as they relate to leaves of absence, short/long term disability, COBRA, state disability pay, etc.
- Ability to evaluate systems, procedures, and develop improvements.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills.
- Experience with Lawson, JBDev or leave case management software.

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $77,979.20 to $108,867.20 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
