Overview
Prime, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, hard-working individual to join our team! Our Local Driver is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our shipping partners as well as transporting equipment for our EcoShred department.
Responsibilities
- Transporting empty and clean trailers to customer and/or drop yard locations.
- Transporting loaded trailers to the yard.
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers.
- Cleaning truck daily after use.
- Performs related work as required.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday 7a-4p
Qualifications
Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge
Trucking experience is a plus.
Abilities
Must have a strong work history and great customer service skills.
Experience, Education, and Training
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior tractor/trailer driving experience strongly preferred.
Working Environment
Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors.
Licensing/Certification
Must have valid CDL with Manual Endorsement with six months of CDL A experience and a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to being hired.
