POSITION: Office Assistant - Full Time w/ Benefits
JOB DESCRIPTION: Exciting opportunity to join a premiere lab - we are growing! We are seeking a positive, self-directed and willing candidate to assist in managing our day-to-day office needs. We believe in our team and your ability to help us provide high quality work in the communities we serve.
POSITION SUMMARY: As our Office Assistant, you play a pivotal role in ensuring our office functions effectively in support of our lab team. This includes helping to meet the communication needs of the office staff and the people we serve. Multi-tasking, self-motivation, organization skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production-oriented environment are highly desired.
JOB DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Managing all front and back-office functions including answering phones, faxes, office organization, greeting visitors, light housekeeping of office, mail, data entry, scheduling, office reports, organizing medical supplies, ordering office supplies, other administrative duties, and collecting insurance information.
- Customer Focus - dedicated to meeting the expectations of the internal staff & external customers. Demonstrate sensitivity, empathy, concern and respect for others.
- Maintain confidentiality - in accordance with HIPAA regulations supports and safeguards the patient's privacy.
- Maintains self-motivation and sustains a high level of momentum.
- Able to successfully prioritize when faced with requests, demands and deadlines.
- Must be extremely detail oriented and able to perform accurate and thorough recordkeeping.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team, in a fast-paced production-oriented environment.
- Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the office.
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Applicants must be available Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm and have reliable transportation. Please do NOT apply if you cannot meet these requirements.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Required: high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Preferred: Experience working in an office setting in the healthcare environment.
- Preferred: Medical Terminology
