The Prince George's Community Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Business Services Specialist to grow our commercial lending portfolio. Under general supervision, but in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Business Services Specialist is responsible for providing sales/business development, administrative, and operational support to the Business Services Department. This position acts as the sales representative (in-house and in the field) to meet the new account and loan goals for the department by working directly with members to set up business deposit products and services, gathering required documentation and opening accounts and processing loan applications; responding to inquiries and/or providing information upon request from prospects and members, processing requests/transactions (as appropriate), and assisting prospects/members and staff in understanding and utilizing Credit Union products and services.
Job Summary/Qualifications:
- ba/bs degree in business, marketing, finance or related field preferred
- minimum 1 years' experience in business/commercial lending support, depository and cash management sales and retail financial institution knowledge
- previous business/commercial underwriting, business development and sales training require
- must be outgoing and have excellent sales & service skills with at least one year of demonstrated sales excellence required.
- active in the business community preferred
- requires strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- ability to work independently
- valid driver's license required
- requires basic knowledge of microsoft word and excel
- background and credit check required
the ideal candidate must work 40 hours per week including occasional evenings and saturdays, may serve as acting branch manager on occasion, is able to travel locally, and works well independently. this candidate must also consistently uphold the mission, vision and core values of the credit union and possesses the ability to cope in a team focused, fast paced sales and service culture.
