About This Role:
The primary responsibility of this role is to protect park resources and enhance the visitor experience by patrolling PWC Parks and Facilities, ensuring a safe environment for all to enjoy; address safety concerns at the level of your Park Ranger Training and work with the PWC Polic Department for events of a criminal nature; provide outstanding customer service to our patrons and park visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of related experience.

Preferences:
- Experience in educating, directing, and dealing with the Public in a professional manner.
- Experience in Law enforcement, military, customer service, or hospitality.
- Ability to pass IPMBA Mountain Bike Training Course.
- Ability to walk for extended periods of time, often over rough terrain, and the ability to perform these tasks in all weather conditions.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a county owned vehicle in a safe manner.
- Must pass a DPR conducted DMV records check. All hires 18 and older must pass a criminal background check, fingerprinting may be required.
- Wear a uniform and provide a neutral appearance.
- Ability to pass all aspects of training that prepare Rangers for their specific duties. This will include classroom, on the job, and demonstrate the ability to adapt this training to real life scenarios.
- Ability to use modern technology, I.G., cell phone, computer, 2-way radio.
- Must be able to effectively communicate thoughts into an official written report to substantiate enforcement actions.
- This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), and may be assigned to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- The position is subject to change in hours and assigned days off on short notice.
