What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outpatient Oncology Clinic Manager position at Princeton Community Hospital?
Position Summary Assists the Director of Outpatient Oncology Services#to coordinate the delivery of patient care through planning, integrating, controlling, and evaluating human and fiscal resources to optimize patient outcomes in a cost effective manner. Provides leadership in establishing standards, goals, and direction for nursing specialties / programs. Incorporates the patient care services department unit philosophy, hospital mission, values and strategic plan into leadership, clinical practice, and research efforts. Ensures development and implementation of departmental and unit specific patient care standards and staff competencies. Provides ongoing training for employees regarding practice changes. Proactively takes on special projects and follows through to completion. In the absence of the Director of Emergency Services, assumes all responsibilities and authority needed to manage all areas of the Emergency Department. Qualifications Required: Formal Education and Certification Current professional licensure in the State of West Virginia as a Registered Nurse BA, BS, BSN CPR (if CPR is not current on hire or will expire during department orientation, staff must attend the next available CPR class after hire) ACLS (if Certification is not current on hire or will expire during department orientation, staff must attend the next available class after hire) Successful completion of the orientation program provided by the hospital and nursing Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification through ONS (within 6 months of hire) Knowledge and Experience Basic computer skills Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served, or obtained within probationary period Personal Attributes Ability to handle complex and sophisticated technical issues Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients# rights in the delivery of care Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Preferred: Formal Education and Certification PALS Knowledge and Experience Seven years professional experience in which leadership and clinical skills have been demonstrated
