Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitors daily activities of the Warehouse employees.
• Assists in the training of Warehouse employees.
• Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Delivers items to appropriate departments.
• Reviews outgoing product to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Performs weekly cycle counts and participates in the reconciliation.
• Ensures proper communication on pre-ops and changeovers between shifts.
• Confers with other Leads to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Performs all Warehouse functions within each department.
• Maintains and monitors cleanliness of employees’ working area.
• Plans daily and weekly crewing levels.
• Monitors employee attendance and recommends necessary action to the Supervisor.
• Monitors employee’s adherence to company rules and policies and recommends necessary corrective action to the Supervisor if needed.
• Assists in reviewing and maintaining crewing levels and optimizing to meet or surpass NPF cost targets.
• Suggests ways to control labor and supply costs as well as improve processes.
• Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are followed.
• Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Maintains a high level of safety awareness for an accident-free work place.
• Reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions or safety-related issues to Management.
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
Education, Skills and experience:
Education
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Fork Lift Certification within 30 days of employment.
Skills and Experience:
• Ability to work overtime, irregular hours or rotating shifts.
• Three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to operate tier lift truck or hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
• Previous experience with bar coding and automatic data collection preferred.
• Previous food manufacturing experience is helpful.
• Ability to speak, write and understand English.
• Good interpersonal, written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of diverse individuals within the plant.
• Ability to establish trust and credibility with employees.
• Must have excellent organizational skills, written and math aptitude. Must handle multiple task assignments.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, formulas, and policy and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write standard information into related paperwork.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to effectively present information to management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment.

Employee may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures that range from below zero (0) degrees Fahrenheit to over ninety (90) degrees Fahrenheit. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. While in the plant, the employee is required to utilize the required personal protective equipment.
