3rd Shift Saturday - Wednesday 11:00pm - 7:00am
Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, or the General Manager, the Dispatcher/Logistics Supervisor focuses on coordinating and/or performing multiple tasks relative to day-to-day activities supporting customer requirements of multiple channels. The Operations Supervisor ensures scanning and sorting operations, dispatch activity, routing, and scheduling of distribution and routed products. This position also has responsibility for monitoring EPOD’s and coverage. The primary focus is to ensure superior customer service is achieved by ensuring high-quality performance to include professional, consistent, efficient, secured, and controlled critical deliveries. Remains vigilant about streamlining operating efficiency, error elimination/resolution, and increased productivity; utilizes PDI methodology and tools. Continually cultivate belief and pride in the Mission, Vision, and Value Proposition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains up-to-date routes/schedules to maintain coverage and efficiency
- Input and dispatch orders, track assigned pick-ups and deliveries to maximize productivity; using the appropriate service levels, vehicle requirements, mileage, and weight
- Responds and resolves promptly to all customer inquiries
- Negotiates appropriate Statement of Work for Independent Contractors; executes on approved Statements of Work (SOW’s) and responsible for key performance metrics
- Conducts conversations relative to Non-Compliance and contract terminations
- Coordinates orders, including tracks, assigned, pick-ups and deliveries to maximize productivity using the appropriate service levels, vehicle requirements, mileage, and weight
- Completes service level reporting and updates client’s web portals
- Builds rapport and solidifies customer relationships through onsite communication
- Completes assigned billing activities and tracks and files all required paperwork
- Coordinates good customer relationships and effective communication with all Independent Contractor partners and maintains shared accountability for the retention
- Provides technical and helpdesk support for customers and IC’s who have problems with order entry, systems, equipment or applications
- Responsible for oversight of sorting and distribution of assigned work
- Responsible for organization, cleanliness, safety and security processes, along with supplies for assigned area
- Assists with recruiting efforts for Independent Contractors
- Complies with Associate Handbook policies and procedures, Master Operating Plan, and all Federal and State Laws
- Maintains high awareness and commitment to superior customer service
- Keeps “top of mind” the personal responsibility for cost containment and contribution to Company profitability to ensure long term prosperity
- All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High school education, college preferred
- 2 – 4 years supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance procedures
- Transportation experience required/Courier experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of regional roadways required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and with the use of computers
- Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Superior customer service skills
- Proven problem solving and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and under time constraints

A typical day's activities include sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, and reaching; normal finger dexterity, visual acuity (with or without corrective glasses), hearing, talking, typing and grasping are also required to carry out essential functions. The associate is subject to indoor conditions primarily with most work occurring inside a warehouse and/or office. The Associate is subject to low to moderate noise levels such that normal talking is required to be heard
