What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst position at Private Company (TCC)?
POSITION PURPOSE
Analyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Assumes responsibility for credit.
a. Analyzes potential customers’ financial condition and suggests appropriate credit lines.
b. Sets up new accounts.
c. Reconciles customers’ statements and billings.
d. Analyzes financial statements.
e. Maintains accurate credit files for each customer’s account.
2. Assumes responsibility for collections
a. Maintains accurate collection files for each customer’s account.
b. Conducts collection calls and customer visits to collect accounts receivable.
c. Negotiates and resolves customer disputes.
d. Analyzes paying habits of delinquent customers and recommends action; reviews files to select delinquent accounts for accelerated collection efforts.
e. Evaluates customer records and recommends any changes to account status, based on profit margin, payment history, and purchase activity of customer.
3. Assumes responsibility for administrative duties.
a. Communicates credit department policies and procedures to customers and sales personnel.
b. Provides customer service and develops relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers.

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Underwriters & Credit Analysts: 1 year (Preferred)
