We're actively seeking an experienced PV Solar Designer who embodies professionalism, reliability, and unwavering attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine plan sets, electrical 3-line diagrams, and structural designs for PV projects, utilizing advanced tools such as Sketchup.
• Demonstrate mastery of national electrical codes and fire code requirements specific to project jurisdictions.
• Collaborate seamlessly with fellow team members to ensure the punctual delivery of designs that align with project deadlines.

Candidate Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in solar design.
• Residential construction experience is required.

• Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Aurora and PV Watts.
• Mandatory expertise in AutoCAD and Sketchup.
• Thorough understanding of Electric (NEC) and Fire codes is essential.
• Preferred experience in dealing with a diverse range of solar panels and inverters.
• Possession of the NABCEP Associates Photovoltaic Certification is a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of residential structural techniques is beneficial.
• A keen inclination for critical and innovative thinking, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, is highly esteemed.
• Applicants should exhibit confidence in all facets of solar design, encompassing structural, roofing, mounting, electrical line drawings, NEC, AHJ, and utility requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a PV Designer.
• Previous experience working as a lead installer.

• Required background in electrical.
• Required solar background.
