Job description and duties:

  • The BAS technician role provides customer support through the means of designing, programming, commissioning, and servicing BAS equipment. Working alongside our mechanical department to diagnose issues, identify corrective actions, and implement a solution to achieve the objective of providing top tier support.
  • Typical duties will include, but are not limited to, communication link issues, programming creation/modifications, graphic edits, motor control diagnostics and service (VFDs and starters), installing, wiring, commissioning of control devices and associated equipment.

Desirable skills/traits:

  • The ideal candidate will have a fundamental knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems, both commercial and industrial in nature, along with experience working with BAS systems.
  • Niagara N4 certification is preferred, but not required.
  • History of working with BAS programming, installation and service is the main aspect that we are looking for.
  • High level electrical knowledge is a plus, including low voltage electronics troubleshooting, VFD repair/troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of industry or related experience preferred, but not required.
  • Niagara certification and experience preferred.
  • HVAC equipment and systems knowledge. Including air and water side systems.
  • Electrical troubleshooting, especially with electronics and communications preferred. VFD and motor control troubleshooting, repair, installation experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, and occasionally after hours and on weekends.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and internal team members.
  • Must pass drug screening, background check, and a physical prior to starting.
  • Must be cleared to drive a company vehicle through our insurance provider.
