Position Summary: The Director of Total Rewards is responsible for the comprehensive approach to compensating employees that includes not only wages and salaries, but also benefits, incentives, wellness, and recognition programs. Additionally, this role ensures the HR Information Systems meet business needs and are functional and cost-effective.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential functions of this role include:
Lead the development and management of competitive benefits and compensation programs designed to meet the needs of every employee and the overall business strategy;
Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and enterprise-wide objectives;
Provides advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations;
Designs creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans;
Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data;
Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved;
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations;
Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of employee benefit and wellness programs;
Manage annual benefits renewal process; and
Oversees the set up and maintenance of the functional HR Information System (HRIS) and Payroll systems.
Education & Experience:
Ten (10) plus years of broad HR experience including benefits, wellness, payroll, compensation, and HRIS.
Strong knowledge of laws, regulations as they apply to base compensation, incentive compensation, benefits, and wellness programs;
Hands-on experience with HRIS, payroll, and compensation software;
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data;
Excellent understanding of job evaluation and job analysis systems;
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach and manage individuals and teams; and
A high level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive employee information.
