- Managing Roll Stock
- Setting Machine Schedules
- Develops and maintains plant schedules according to work order specifications and established priorities, as per customer demands and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Distributes work orders to departments.
- Review/order roll stock.
- Sets machine schedules (making sure pre-requisite production steps are completed).
- Communicates with supervisors about schedules, shipments, rework and anything regarding product needs or any changes to the above mentioned.
- Conducts scheduling/production meetings daily.
- Walks the plant floor daily to monitor productivity: verifying lineups and progression of jobs.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the company’s Rules and Regulations and enforces these regulations.
- Communicate with Customer Service department about product availability, scheduling, lead-time needed, and customer requirements.
- Ensures production totals are as required to close work orders.
- May assist in entering outside print or bags.
- Investigates production shortages.
- Checks counts of daily production to see if they are over or under.
- Assist plant supervision with production records, waste records, and non-conformances.
- Maintain accuracy of Work in Process inventories.
- Monitors production entry problems and works with accounting personnel and production supervisors if changes are needed.
- Controls aged inventory of roll stock.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- 3-5 years of experience or
- 1-2 years of experience in a Planning or Scheduling position with formal education/training
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
