Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced and passionate baker to join our team at Proba Cafe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh and delicious baked goods daily, including pastries, muffins, cookies, and specialty items, all while maintaining our commitment to high-quality ingredients. You will collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure all baked goods perfectly complement our coffee offerings and embody the Proba Cafe values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items such as pastries, cookies and muffins.
- Follow recipes to create consistent, high-quality products, ensuring freshness and excellent presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels for baking ingredients and supplies, and communicate with the manager about restocking needs.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with food handling standards.
- Develop new recipes and creative baked goods that align with the cafe’s offerings and seasonal ingredients.
- Collaborate with the cafe team to ensure bakery items are properly displayed and rotated in the cafe.
- Assist with customer inquiries and provide exceptional service when needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a baker or in a related role in a cafe or bakery.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and familiarity with organic and locally-sourced ingredients.
- Passionate about food quality and sustainability.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well within a close-knit team.
