ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a part time School Psychologist for the 23/24 school year near Elk River, MN.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide counseling and therapeutic services to students to address emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support teachers and staff in creating and implementing strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay updated on the latest research, best practices, and legal requirements in the field of school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid MNstate license in School Psychology
- Previous experience working with students in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills, including experience conducting psychological evaluations and interpreting assessment results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
