We currently have an opening for a QC Final Test Technician at our operating site in Horsham, PA (Philadelphia suburb). This is a key position that is recognized as a critical function for business success. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-managed and task-oriented professional with an attention to detail and motivated to learn and coordinate with other team members. He/she must be adaptable and flexible to perform in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality. 


In this position, the QC Final Test Technician configures settings of our analyzers, performs a variety of quality control tests and analyzes data to assess the performance of the analyzers against specifications, finalizes settings and prepares the certificates of calibration. He/she will also perform tests to inspect component parts as needed, assists scientists and engineers in troubleshooting unit performance and supports other Production tasks and/or team members. He/she is expected to efficiently and effectively shift between tasks depending on product production and delivery requirements, complete tasks in a timely manner, and communicate and coordinate effectively with his/her production team leads to answer questions or address any issues.

Requirements

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assess functionality and performance of gas analyzers under standard operating conditions
  • Set up and maintain high-pressure gas delivery lines, as well as vacuum pumps utilized in testing
  • Collect and analyze data and interpret results; maintain QC testing logs and required documentation
  • Prepare technical reports, customer certificates, and QC data for unit records
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned and other Production related tasks
  • Apply equal amounts of skills and dedication to all other duties as assigned

  

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science 
  • Proficient experience and use of computers and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations
  • Ability to use common lab equipment, such as: Oscilloscope, Power Meter, Vacuum Pump, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of optics and electronics equipment 
  • Must have excellent record keeping skills with an attention to details
  • Ability to perform routine work in a fast-paced, team environment under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously with little or no direction; self-managed
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to assist with tasks, even when the work is out of the scope of responsibilities
