IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
The ideal candidate has experience building and supporting Dell computers, laptops, and servers in an enterprise environment running Microsoft Windows Desktop 10 and 11, and Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019. This is a great opportunity because we have a small IT team with the ability to learn more about Windows Active Directory, Cisco and HP network switches, Windows servers, ERP systems (IFS), and other technologies too numerous to list here.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with our IT team to provide support for 300 users located in Royersford, PA. The position is hybrid, so you'll be on-site most of the time, but you'll have the opportunity to work remotely as well when needed.
- The primary purpose of the IT Support Technician is to provide first-level support to all users as needed.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain end user laptops and workstations both onsite and remote.
- Basic Networking Administration and Support (Firewalls, Switches, Wireless AP, DHCP and DNS)
- Monitor and maintain backups and replication jobs (Carbonite and Microsoft Azure)
- Administration and support of Windows OS and servers.
- Administer user security including Office 365, email distribution lists, and SharePoint intranet.
- VOIP phone system support, and support for company’s ERP system (IFS).
- Provide support for company audio/visual and telephone system tools.
- Resolve support calls and provide outstanding customer service for all calls and help desk issues.
- Provide technical support and work with outside vendors for escalation and support for timely resolutions.
- Create and maintain documentation including processes and procedures for internal IT and Self Help for users.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience performing PC and Laptop break/fix repairs and installation on Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Professional communication skills over the telephone, via email, as well as in person.
- Proficiency in business technologies such as Microsoft Office 365, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams, and MS SharePoint.
- Windows Operating Systems 10 and 11 support experience, either from school, work, or an internship.
- Ability to learn Microsoft Windows Active Directory and support of various ethernet and wireless technologies.
- Detail-oriented and learns computer software applications quickly.
- Ability to be organized and work well independently.
- Excellent communication skills with users via phone and email with timely updates on service requests
