IT ADMINISTRATOR
The System Administrator will proactively will maintain a solid pulse on the performance of our operating systems, phone and security systems - identifying ongoing improvement opportunities to ensure we are optimizing technology to meet and exceed our company's growing needs.
A successful candidate will have a background in maintaining a wide array of systems, great project management and communication skills, and an eagerness to grow with a team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage IT equipment including all computers, switches, access points, printers, phones, and etc.. Produce and maintain documentation containing software installation guide, printer setups, new user setups, and other critical day-to-day procedures.
- Provide day-to-day operational support including: the procurement and configuration of laptops, desktop PCs, printers and scanners. Assists new and existing employees with setup, training on applications, and other related activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to resources, including performance, connectivity, and security.
- Assess and evaluate the current infrastructure to discover opportunities for enhancement.
- Serve as project leader on IT projects
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Work with vendors and business partners to implement quality technology solutions.
- Identify opportunities that can improve efficiencies of business processes.
- Manage the company’s phone & security systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the IT industry.
- Working in a manufacturing environment a must.
- Experience supporting the following Microsoft software: Office 365applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience working with third party consultants and vendors.
- Experience with implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including virtual networks, subnets, VPNs, and Firewalls
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
