Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel; monitor work areas and examine tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules, monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary duty is supervision of assigned employees.
- Examines objects, systems, or facilities, and analyzes information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
- Performs a full range of supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, scheduling of work, grievances, performance counseling, and recommendations for promotions, demotions and termination of employment. Ensures that all relevant Human Resources and HSE policies and procedures are followed and adhered to.
- Manages budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation, and monitoring departmental expenditures.
- Requisitions materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
- Computes estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, and outside contractors.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
- Conducts or arranges for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications (or Educational and Other Requirements)
- High school education or general education equivalent (ex. reading, writing and math basics).
- A minimum of five years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required.
- Occupation involves coordinating, supervising, managing, or training others.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
- Sensitive to confidential information.
- Must work independently and as a member of team.
Mental and Physical Requirements:
- Able to read, speak and write English.
- Strong physical and mental health to maintain demanding workload.
- Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
- Climbing - able to go up, down and over equipment in a safe manner using good judgment and proper safety equipment as is required.
- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
- Position will consistently dictate 40 hours per week with frequent extended hours as business needs dictate.
- Position will require (24) twenty-four hours availability, with (7) seven-day weeks when workload demands, with time off scheduled per current workload and other staff availability.
- Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations or standards.

- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
