Essential Functions:
- Commitment to company core values

- Build and maintain a strong network of remodeling and new construction contractor customers who promote PFT’s product lines
- Maintain a large list of customers over a multi-state territory that will require weekly and overnight travel
- Ensure that PFT’s product lines are available in a number of distribution locations in each city that they are responsible for, and partner with the sales associates at those distribution locations to make sure they are advocates of PFT’s product lines
- Assist sales management in the development of sales plans and strategies
- Promptly respond to inquiries verbally, in person, or send product or service materials to customer through most appropriate means. Compose letters or e-mails using standard or customized replies according to the particular needs of the customer.
- Conduct company sales presentations for individuals or groups of prospective customers.
- Actively support Home and Garden Shows, Trade Shows, distributor sponsored customer appreciation events, and other product promotion venues.
- Support new product launches as requested
- Proficient with computer software, Microsoft Word and Excel, able to develop and conduct Microsoft Power Point presentations, prepare reports, conduct research on the internet, and effectively utilizing company CRM software.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in field sales, building products sales, in-home sales, or business ownership
- Strong work ethic.
- Comfortable with travel 3-4 days per week
- Self-motivated, coachable, team player, capable of working interdependently.
- Exhibit honesty and integrity with customers and staff.
- Strong communications, persuasion, and presentation skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, tactful and professional, ability to get along with diverse personalities.
- High school education
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of Microsoft office tools
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Sales/Marketing preferred.
- 7-10 years of outside sales experience
- Management experience
- Experience in the building products industry
- Sales training
Desired:
- Experience selling value added products to the home improvement contractors
- Knowledge of siding and insulation products
