What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scada Engineer position at Progressive Recruitment?
Are you ready to take your SCADA career to the next level? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SCADA Engineer WITH renewable energy experience (solar, wind, battery) for exciting new BESS projects with our client in Houston!
This role involves setting up programming and configuration for the commissioning component of battery storage systems. The ideal candidate MUST have a strong background in RTU and PLC programming, as well as hands-on experience in SCADA commissioning within the renewable energy sector.
Qualifications:
- Minimum BA/BS in related field; electrical engineering degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years related industry, experience with renewable energy industry highly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with battery energy storage systems use cases including primary frequency response (PFR), fast frequency response (FFR), & black start is highly preferred.
- Ability to work remotely and travel as needed.
- Candidate must already be living & working in the US, near a major airport.
