Job Requirements:
• Knowledge of health standards.
• Experience and knowledge to inspect and evaluate the quality of the products.
• Ability to determine the type of tools and meat market equipment needed to do the work.
• Experience and knowledge of operation and control of the meat market equipment and tools.
• Skill and knowledge to use all parts of the animal to reduce shrinkage.
• Ability to lead and manage staff.
• Ability to follow safety rules and operating procedures as directed by management.
• Knowledge of Mexican meat cuts
• 3 years of minimum experience as a Lead of a Meat Department.
• Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish and English.
• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Health certification for food handling.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to flex, kneel, bend and stoop.
• Ability to work in a fast pace, multifunctional setting alone or with others in a cold environment.
