Job Title: Vendor Pricing Manager
Reports to: Vice President of Purchasing and Inventory Control
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:

None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- ERP Product file maintenance.
- Special Pricing Announcements (SPA’s)
- Develops and defines appropriate price guidelines and bid strategy based on competitive alignment, product knowledge and variance-based analysis.
- Manages effective price review of vendor opportunities for quoting process.
- Provides metrics to management including win/loss tracking, quote variance, sell price trends and speed to quote data.
- Maintains product knowledge and regularly monitors industry pricing practices of competing vendors.
- Collects analyzes product cost to ensure appropriate purchasing strategies.
- Leads effective pricing reviews on vendors for opportunities for savings and availability.
- Support the development of pricing strategies, focusing on executing pricing models and price setting.
- Support the purchasing department with obtaining vendor data and up to date industry pricing information.
- Reduce/Eliminate margin gaps for purchasing.
- Monitor vendor price changes and determine variance in product quality and quantity.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient Excel ability is required.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- General understanding of financial and/or cost accounting practices
- Ability to maintain vendor relationships the equitable price setting.
- Strong understanding of the impact of pricing decisions across multiple functions of an organization.
- Ability to obtain market data and develop operational changes/improvements within the purchasing department.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Associates Degree preferred
- 3 years of pricing experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to utilize standard keyboard or minimal customization for communication.
Ability to communicate with vendors and co-workers.
