Purpose:
The Administrative Support Specialist III works under general supervision is responsible for providing general office administrative support to security related programs, including travel arrangements, calendar administration, correspondence and records management at the Office of the Insider Threat Program
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide general office administrative support to executive management and technical teams.
- Track inter- and intra office correspondence using automated systems and personnel security related databases.
- Manage multiple calendars; schedule meetings with internal and external contacts, and adapt quickly to changes or scheduling conflicts.
- Coordinate frequent travel arrangements.
- Maintain file records received from the entire complex.
- Assistant in the preparation and disseminating of personnel security memoranda, forms, and reports.
- Develop computer templates using standard Microsoft software.
Position Requirements:

- Must possess at least a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years experience in performing and expediting administrative, word processing, and report production support type tasks in a multi-person organization with an emphasis on responsiveness, timeliness, and accuracy.
- Experience in handling classified and sensitive documents, including marking, destruction, and reproduction.
- Individual must possess demonstrated interpersonal communications skills, have experience in managing inter- and intra-office incoming and outgoing correspondence, and have experience in filing and record management.
- Individual must possess demonstrated interpersonal communications skills necessary to interface with Department of Energy Headquarters and field personnel.
- Experience in a state-of-the-art software in a Local Area Network (LAN) environment, including word processing, scheduling and calendar software, graphics, spreadsheets, record management and electronic mail.
- Provides support in typing correspondence and/or reports, document distribution, filing, travel arrangements, and other general office duties.
- Active Top Secret or Active “Q” Clearance required.
