We are seeking qualified candidates for 3rd shift for production and manufacturing positions in our North Stonington, CT manufacturing facility. No experience? No problem! We will train you on the job! In these roles you will be handling, visually inspecting, and packaging extruded medical tubing. The Packer position operates in a clean room/controlled work environment and takes direction from floor supervisors and production management.
Typical Shift Hours :
1st shift hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
2nd shift hours: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
3rd shift hours: 12:00 AM - 8:30 AM
Position: Braiding Packer
Reports to: Braiding Production Supervisor
Position Summary
The Packer position is responsible for various handling activities of finished extruded product. Packers will also identify, discard and communicate to the appropriate individual about non-conforming product and disruptions to production.
Essential Functions

- Perform individual handling, visual inspection and bagging/packaging activities for various extruded medical tubing.
- Perform core removal and traying operations on all over-jacket lines for various extruded medical tubing.
- Collaborate with supervisor and production operator to understand and execute specific tasks associated with specific jobs.
- Properly fill out traying/packaging logs and other controlled documents as needed.
- Adhere to policies and procedures related to customer requirements.
- Train, as needed, on new policies and procedures as dictated by customer or departmental requirements.
- Utilize specific equipment related to traying/handling/packaging as necessary.
- Perform other duties as directed by Shift Lead, Production Supervisor, or Braiding Department Management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Accurately follow work instructions
- Ability to identify defects in product and communicate issues to machine operator
- Maintain a clean work environment
- May be required to lift up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to stand for a full, 8-hour shift
- Typically requires light reaching, bending and twisting.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a controlled manufacturing environment designed for sustained production. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
