Description
The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field or equivalent educ/experience.
- National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology within 1 year of hire
- 1 year of Healthcare Experience
- 1 year of Epidemiology Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field or equivalent educ/experience.
- 4 years of Healthcare Experience
- 2 years of Epidemiology Experience

Providence has been serving the Inland Northwest since 1886 when Mother Joseph and the Sisters of Providence founded Sacred Heart Medical Center.
