The Sepsis Coordinator oversees the Sepsis program in collaboration with clinical coordinator. Assists the sepsis team in managing effectiveness of service operations for all sepsis patients for Mission Hospital both Mission campus and Laguna Beach campus. The Sepsis Coordinator practices as an expert resource. Is a BSN prepared expert who also possesses advanced data analytic knowledge. This person provides leadership and coordination in the planning, organization, communication, and evaluation of all activities of the sepsis program. This person proactively identifies patients who are appropriate for sepsis inclusion/exclusion and assesses quality of care. Assists in the dissemination of results/findings and maintains communication patterns with providers and hospital staff. The Sepsis Coordinator monitors and reports outcomes, assesses/identifies barriers to sepsis care and evaluates the quality of the program. This person assesses sepsis mortality, coding reviews and identities opportunities. The Clinical Coordinator assists in the allocation of available resources and the integration of appropriate technologies to promote efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate care.

Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- 3 years Registered Nurse experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing Administration or other advanced degree in a nursing related field.
- 3 years Health care experience in project coordination encompassing operations analysis, outcomes measurements methodology, data management and system quality improvement.
