Driver - PACE at Providence PACE

Schedule: Full Time, Days

Areas Covered: Napa and Solano Counties and the city of Sonoma

Job description:

This position is responsible for providing safe transportation to participants in a timely, competent manner, and for communicating important information relevant to the overall care plan to the multidisciplinary team. The position is critical to setting the tone and desired experience that PEPS expects for each participant on trips to the Center and other appointments.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: First Aid training
• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within 3 months of hire
• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information
• If driving a large passenger vehicle, California (Class B) driver's license per California Highway Patrol Regulations, and proof of insurance per company policy upon hire

Preferred qualifications:

• 1 year' Previous experience driving passengers requiring assistence

About the Team

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.

HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life. Our service lines include assisted living/skilled nursing/rehabilitation, home health, home infusion/pharmacy services, home medical equipment, hospice and palliative care, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), personal home services/private duty care and supportive housing.
