Description:
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Manager IS Talent Applications to one of our remote locations Portland, Los Angeles, or the Seattle area.
We are seeking a Manager IS Talent Applications who will provide oversight and leadership for services, processes and resources related to clinical or business services for the PSJH organization. The PSJH IS organization supports 50 hospitals, 800 clinics in addition to 35 provisioned locations spanning 7 states.
Responsible for working with key stakeholders, executives, vendors, technical architects and analysts to ensure that applications are provided in alignment with the goals of the organization. Participates in recommendations on local, regional and enterprise application investments. Development and adherence to intake processes and demand management are key components of this work. Responsible to define and lead enterprise-level services to support customer solutions throughout the PSJH organization. Also responsible for participating in defining operational tactics to support strategic initiatives. Leads technical support teams to design, implement and inter-operate disparate solutions to support. Also works closely with supply chain to ensure product pricing and service delivery are managed closely with the appropriate supporting documents. As part of the ongoing management of the area, will be accountable for managing budgets, maintaining maintenance contracts, and application life cycle. Manages daily operational support as well as oversight of demand initiatives for the service line.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
- Develops and execute enterprise level methodology and processes to support the service lines in the portfolio, including adherence to said processes and methodologies.
- Ensures that the Applications division is supporting the IS organization needs and meets the needs of the organizations, including participation and execution of overall strategic plans and goals at all level of the organization.
- Provides proficient verbal and written communications to all levels of the organization.
- Manages customers expectations regarding measurement and ultimate success of Information Services projects or initiatives; ensure measurable outcomes are defined and reported.
- Collaborate with various application teams to ensure that team are collaborating and staying in sync on upgrades, optimization and integration where needed.
- Develops team budgets and manage expenditures related to team operations, including creating budget plans for application growth and capital project budget requests.
- Facilitates teamwork including role definition, accountability, and motivate staff, including performance evaluations.
- Actively participates in optimization of processes and leads initiatives to improve service delivery, increase value to the organization and promote stewardship.
- Identifies support requirements for applications and ensure that resourcing is maintained through demand management.
- Participates and facilitates on call rotation for application continuity and disaster recovery scenarios.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management, Business or Healthcare Oriented degree.
- 5 years Information Services Leadership experience.
- 6 years IT related experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Must have proven ability to interact at and communicate to all levels of an organization. Organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities are critical for success in this position.
- Extensive experience in an environment with complex premium pay is highly desirable.
- Experience with payroll compare testing is highly desirable.
- Experience with Talent Management and Talent Acquisition systems such as SuccessFactors, Taleo, or Oracle Cloud.
- Experience with not-for-profit healthcare services sector.
- Experience with large scale business transformation and HR system implementation projects with scope. spanning multiple regions and/or geographies.
- Experience with vendor management including contract negotiation and relationship management.
- Experience developing and managing an operations and project budget for an information services organization.
- At least 8 years of experience in application design, support and/or implementation of large scale HCM and Talent systems such as Oracle HCM Cloud.
- 7 years Healthcare experience.
