The Project Specialist supports the planning, development, and execution of various Familyhood projects focused on low income and/or disadvantaged populations, including direct service program implementation, continuous quality improvement, staff training, and/or research projects.
The Project Specialist will perform multifaceted, time-sensitive functions to ensure that programs are organized and completed effectively and timely, both independently and with guidance from senior level staff. The position requires particular attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and dependability. This individual will work closely with Managers and Directors to coordinate project resources and activities across departments and teams.
- Support the assessment, planning, and implementation of programs and special projects specific to Familyhood
- Provide support to projects, including management of priorities, timelines, and deadlines.
- Analyze existing workflows, perform benchmark gap analysis, and assist in designing solutions that transform workflows
- Perform ongoing assessments and audits to ensure implementation of practice standards and to identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain positive work relationships with team members to communicate effectively and ensure support for cross-team objectives
- Support and assist with capturing of program data and maintaining reporting tools to assist with measuring impact and outcomes related to agreed upon success metrics and deliverables
- Assist leadership with coordination of deliverables across programs to improve internal processes for messaging, referral and follow-up related to Familyhood programs, develop assessments and other implementation tools, and deliver training as needed
- Analyze, interpret, report, and present varying levels of research to support project deliverables, including making programmatic recommendations based on evaluation findings
- Track and manage data and create various reports
- Monitor program progress and deliverables as needed
- Support the development and maintenance of processes, policies, and procedures for Familyhood
- Participate in staff development projects, as needed
- Support operations as directed by supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Human Relations, Education, Business, Psychology, Sociology, or other related fields required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and analytical skills, required
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and multi-task, coordinating multiple and sometimes competing priorities
- Knowledge of program and project planning
- Ability to plan and facilitate meetings with various stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with project teams
- Proven interpersonal skill
- Occasional domestic travel, including by air
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Personable, a critical thinker, self-motivated, hard-working, detail-oriented, dependable, and flexible
- Maintain a valid Driver's License
