About the role:
We are looking for a Research Analyst with 1-3 years of experience to join the Editorial team at Public.com. This person should have a background in equity research, financial journalism, or business news reporting with experience in planning and creating content.
The Editorial team at Public is a fast-growing team that is focused on bringing insights and information to millions of retail investors. This role is an ideal fit for a news-minded individual who wants to build something special at the intersection of media and investment insights.
This role is based in New York.
What you’ll do:
- Provide written research coverage of public companies that is digestible and accessible for an audience of retail investors, with a focus on tech, media, and stocks with large retail followings.
- Assist in the production of live interviews with equity research analysts and market experts for Public Live premium programming.
- Manage the operations of Town Hall Q&A events featuring stock market analysts and strategists and curate questions from community members that are most insightful and interesting.
- Contribute to Editorial content for our members, including Market Recaps, IPO and earnings debriefs, and evergreen educational content across formats like in-app messages, push notifications, emails, blog posts, videos, and more.
Who you are:
- Analytical power-consumer of financial news and trends: You have the ability to analyze financial information and have a pulse on market news and industry trends. We need someone with a genuine interest in building the future of financial news and research for an exponentially growing modern retail investor audience.
- Strong writer able to translate concepts for various formats and audiences: You're an exceptionally strong writer who is able to share ideas succinctly and without overly complex jargon. Your writing skills can be adapted for audio, video, and written formats.
- Entrepreneurial spirit: Public is in the early stages of developing a unique investment research offering that identifies the most important information investors need to know and will give the retail market access to insights that have traditionally been reserved for institutional investors. You should have a burning passion for and excitement about building something new, and you're comfortable bringing new ideas to the table.
