ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of the Client Manager role is to create media strategy and implementation recommendations across all media for their clients, and oversee the delivery of all campaigns. This role requires skills in creativity, media planning, media marketplace, and market dynamics. They must ensure attention to detail in all facets of their team’s work and take responsibility for any errors that occur. The Client Manager is also responsible for managing at least two direct reports, a Coordinator and Planning Executive within the client team; and supporting the senior client leads in managing the client relationship through regular communication, presentations, WIPs, and financial process.
This is an opportunity to partner with a pair of dynamic clients who are recognised as leading brands within their respective categories, including insurance and infrastructure/telecommunications. These clients have an excellent working relationship with the team, and provide big budgets as well as a platform for testing, learning, and innovation. The Client Manager will be offered plenty of scope to challenge their creative, strategic, and analytical thinking – advancing one’s skills in bounds!
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Pro-actively manage the development of media initiatives which satisfy client objectives within the given timeframes.
- Use of planning tools to pull insights and competitive as required across digital and offline channels, with a particular focus on Screens
- Ensure channel champions within the team are accurately setting up campaigns, and that best practice and compliance procedures are adhered to. Coordinate all specialist teams from offline to digital investment, analytics, connections planning and strategy
- Diligently perform regular reconciliations on campaign plan media spends with Activations and Digital teams
- Drive reporting with the team and draw insight that can have impact on our media and business objectives; share creative learnings/optimisations
- Own the finance deliverables for this patch
- Manage day to day tasks and workloads of the Coordinator and Planning Executive
- Support the Directors in helping clients achieve their business objectives, even if they’re not directly related to a current brief. For e.g. setting up a schedule of training modules on different media innovations, or collation of regular updates / state-of-play reports on current media channels
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the media industry
- Expert across the following Office platforms: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience in planning Screens (TV, digital OOH, VOD, display, mobile etc.)
- Proven capability to juggle multiple campaigns and drive key milestones forward e.g., create and execute timelines, manage client communication of campaign status
- Ability to drive innovation and development in this space – through test and learn and working closely with analytics teams to drive greater insight to the business
- Experience in managing finance
