Company Description
A Program Manager is an expert at managing a small non-complex project at Razorfish with delivery oversight. Gradually more client facing, owning the day-to-day project communications on relevant project work. Razorfish Program Managers have a basic understanding of the Razorfish sales cycle and provide light coordination support on new business pursuits.
Job Description
- Ability to run a small project or track of work, plan, organize and control the activities of other Razorfish disciplines with delivery oversight
- Ability to reconcile a project plan if broken assumptions, missed dependencies or risk is presented
- Ability to produce effective reports to communicate progress
- Ability to maintain portions of a scope matrix or backlog as directed by more senior delivery team members
- Understanding of different phases in each delivery methodology (Waterfall, Hybrid, Scrum, Kanban, XP)
- Awareness of the ceremonies which are prescribed by different methodologies, as well as the ability to participate in the ceremonies
- Understanding in the roles and responsibilities for Project Managers across multiple methodologies
- Understanding and ability to create messages (verbal or written) in a professional tone
- Ability to effectively communicate non-ambiguous events (e.g. Status of work)
- Ability to tailor communication style to internal or external audience
- Knowledge of basic types of meetings to be facilitated in a project environment/life cycle, e.g.: project kick-off, daily stand-ups, brainstorming, client status and reviews, difficult conversations, decision-making, or post-mortem
- Ability to prepare for a facilitated meeting including: define the meeting, purpose, objectives, agenda, owners; define the meeting format; participant identification; scheduling; length of meeting;setting expectations with all attendees
- Knowledge of and ability to use basic facilitation tools, such as: white boarding, ‘parking lot’, feedback or visible agenda
- Ability to provide and receive feedback openly
- Ability to set the expectations with team members for Client discretion, time and attendance, out of office communication, and coverage
- Ability to understand the concepts of: what is feedback, why it is important to receive and give feedback
- Knowledge of how to frame or focus a problem
- Ability to enable others to act by encouraging collaboration tools and techniques
- Ability to engage the team in a collaborative manner
- Ensures that ground level team communication happens
- Ability to deal with staffing challenges with help
- Ensures that feedback conversations happen at the appropriate time and place
- Ability to understand the art of giving feedback - Why, What, When and How
- Ability to focus on the core issue, to structure the feedback in a dispassionate way and approach any topic honestly and openly
- Ability to deliver feedback professionally and neutrally
- Works with day to day client contacts to establish and articulate project tracking and administrative processes
- Responsible for communicating relevant project information to the client
- Knowledge of the importance of defining a structured process for engaging with Clients and Stakeholders
- Ability to develop working relationships with select members of the business Stakeholders
- Ability to re-negotiate expectations when they are misaligned
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience; digital agency and paid media experience preferred
- Ability to capture white boarded or facilitated sections of an estimate
- Ability to support the creation of an Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid based project plan
- Ability to understand Work Breakdown Structure, milestones, phases and dependencies
- Ability to understand and use at least 2 project planning tools, (e.g. Microsoft Project, Excel, Smartsheets); Workfront and SmartSheets experienced preferred
- Understand the chosen approach, business solution and delivery model selected as part of the Sales Cycle process to service Client needs
- Knowledge of the general Kick-off process and steps of doneness
- Understanding of the Razorfish tools needed to support the project (Box, JIRA, Confluence, Roar, Altair, MicroSoft Teams)
- Clarifies the scope boundary using the most simple terms and concepts possible
- Understanding of different templates like scope matrix / back log or other documentation used to articulate scope at the right level of granularity
- Ability to understand project scope and transform into an executable plan for a small size, non-complex project.

Compensation Range: $77,000 - $96,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
