Organization Overview
PUC National is a non-profit organization that serves to promote, support, benefit, replicate, and carry out the purposes and mission of Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) Schools.
We have a contractual relationship with Partnerships to Uplift Communities (PUC) Schools to provide a variety of support services to the schools in NE Los Angeles and the NE San Fernando Valley. This includes, but is not limited to Finance, Human Resources, Operations, IT and Data Management, facilities identification and acquisition, fundraising, grant management, college access, alumni relations, charter development and renewal, and compliance.
The Team Member we are searching for
The ideal SIS Analyst I believes in and is passionate about the mission and commitments of PUC National and exhibits this through their leadership, reflection, and collaboration to ensure schools’ success across the organization. Under the direct supervision of the SIS Manager, the SIS Analyst I’s primary functions are to maintain and facilitate SIS procedures, continuously perform quality assurance on system data, and provide school sites with PowerSchool and PowerTeacher support.
What you will need to accomplish:
- Enter and update data via PUC’s Student Information System (SIS) PowerSchool
- Maintain scheduling, rostering, and storing of grades for all schools by continuously communicating with schools and site leadership
- Ensure integrity of data in SIS by verifying and updating the information regularly
- Respond to inquiries regarding entered data in SIS
- Execute beginning-of-year and end-of-year processes for SIS such as student promotions, bell schedules, calendaring, school set-up, etc.
- Assist schools with importing student grades and updating student transcripts
- Maintain and update, as needed, school reports such as progress report cards, report cards, and official and unofficial transcripts
- Ensure proper documentation of college grades and submission to reflect on the CA Dashboard
- Maintain parent email log-in accounts in PowerSchool
- Provide PowerSchool Parent account customer support to parents and families
- Support data requests such as CRDC data collection and scheduling audits
- Assist schools with importing student and staff pictures
- Assist in developing and conducting in-person or virtual trainings for teachers, staff, and other stakeholders
- Update and develop knowledge base articles
- Assist with all PowerTeacher grading inquiries
- Assist with PUC’s enrollment platform (SchoolMint) verification process for all schools
- Assist with SchoolMint to PowerSchool syncs and troubleshooting errors
- Provide schools assistance with SwiftK12 as needed to ensure student parents/guardians receive communication
- Provide customer support in person, via phone, and through Incident IQ
- Document internal information systems practices and procedures using Jira
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What do we require from you?
Minimum Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field, or equivalent training and experience required
Experience:
-
2 years minimum of experience in data entry preferred but not required
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (emphasis on Excel) and Adobe Reader
- Knowledge of PowerSchool preferred
- Knowledge of Google Suite preferred
- Able to analyze spreadsheets and complex data for accuracy
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

- Must be flexible and team-oriented
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally required to kneel, climb and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level, lift up to 30 pounds. To bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below. Always required to wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which may include gloves, goggles, aprons, belts, etc.
