Job Description – Asset Location Representative

Join an established collection agency as a full-time Asset Location Representative. This position is responsible for locating and verifying assets on consumer accounts to aid in recovery of outstanding accounts receivables assigned to agency for collection. The position is in the employer’s Tacoma headquarters office.

Responsibilities

• Skip trace for consumer location information
• Identify and verify consumer assets (employment, financial information, real property, etc.)
• Verify employment by telephone, fax, or other verification services.
• Refer accounts with verified assets for legal recourse.
• Locate employment information on judgments and refer for garnishment.
• Minimal telephone communications with consumers to resolve questions and inquiries.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma with 1-2 years of work experience in accounts receivable, debt collection or similar field
• Ability to work
• Computer literate
• Ability to type 40 wpm, with few errors
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and prioritize
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Familiar with standard concepts and procedures within an office environment
• Valid Driver’s License

Working Conditions

· Office hours; Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM

· On the job training provided

· All prospective employees must pass a background screening
