PulmoCrit Associates are looking for our next team member!
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an expanding, high volume, pulmonary office with a team of young and accomplished physicians. The practice has been growing rapidly and are now looking to hire an Authorization Specialist.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Submitting all prior authorizations for patient appointments, DME supplies, injections and bronchoscopies.
- Upload and track all authorizations.
- Perform support functions as needed. This may include, but is not limited to: entering patient data into registration system, greeting patients, escorting patients to exam room, assisting patients and/or families in completing appropriate paperwork.
- Assist with other clerical work, such as respond to messages, answer phones, etc.
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings as needed.
- Assist with inventory organization, stocking of exam rooms and keeping the office clean.
- Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including but not limited to, financial and client information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of authorization experience
- Minimum of three years of medical office experience
- Experience with PPO, HMO, Medicare and Medical plans
- Knowledge of interpreting EOBs, billing and coding is a plus
- Ability to multitask and be highly organized
- Must be bilingual in Spanish or Armenian
- Self starter, who is flexible and team oriented

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Monday- Friday: 8:30-5:00
*Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to Northridge*

All patients and staff are required to wear masks at all times. Patients are Covid tested before any in office procedures. All staff is required to be fully vaccinated.

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
