Sales Consultant

Pump and Meter Service, Inc. is looking to hire a Petroleum Sales Consultant to join our Family. This position would be based out of Fargo, ND and would cover North Dakota, NW Minnesota as well as South Dakota.

Industry experience in the fueling industry is a plus but not required.

• Bejin Pump Service out of Chippewa Falls, WI serving all of Wisc.
• Rochester Petroleum Equipment out of Stewartville, MN serving southern MN, IA & SD
• Premium Petroleum out of Fargo, ND serving ND, western, MN & northern SD.
• Pump & Meter Service out of Minneapolis, MN serving Central/Northern, MN and eastern SD.

PMSI is a full-service petroleum contracting company. We design & install turnkey petroleum and auto service projects. Fueling projects range from small private fleet, agricultural, chemical processing or retail C-store locations to large multi-site retail chains. This includes EV charging stations.

PMSI is a full-service automotive maintenance equipment company with a host of manufactures such as Rotary Lift, Graco, Harvey, Shure, DEA-Worky to name a few and many more. Just like the fueling side of the company we design & install turnkey projects (light duty & heavy duty). Projects range from small private automotive enthusiasts & farmers to government highway departments & automotive dealerships or even mining.

Base pay will be based on your education, experience, geographical location and industry knowledge.

Requirements:

- Our sales consultants are required to establish and maintain healthy, long-term relationships with clients.

- Generate repeat business, conduct presentations explaining how our products and services function and what the benefits are over the competition.

- Identify the client’s needs and pain points and offer a solution.

- Become an expert in our product/service offerings and become the clients “Go-To” source.

- Attend industry trade shows and events.

- Create estimates for services and projects.

- Above average communication and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills for the purpose of closing deals.

- Good networking skills and the ability to handle numerous clients.

- Ability to work and function under pressure with RFP/RFQ due dates.

- Resilience and willingness to deal with rejection.

- Excellent organization and time management capabilities, Including being a team player.

- Strong computer skills.

- Valid drivers license and insurable through company auto insurance plan.

- Must be able to travel throughout ND, northwest MN and Eastern SD as your territory.
