Description
The Assistant Registrar is responsible for registration and course scheduling, including all aspects of the Banner course and section data and student record. The Assistant Registrar is responsible for administering the day-to-day aspects of student registration data as it impacts on student records. Duties include complete mastery over all functions of the student information system (Banner) and over all functions required to run registration and room scheduling through 25Live. Other duties include knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and report writing.
Reporting directly to the Registrar, the Assistant Registrar also performs various special projects for the Registrar and supports all other aspects of the Registrar’s Office including but not limited to grades, transcripts, audits, and customer service related duties, such as answering emails and phones. The Assistant Registrar serves as a senior member of the Registrar’s leadership team and must help to align the office mission and goals with the academic goals and missions of the college.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree. Two (2) or more years experience in a Registrar’s Office.
Great organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving abilities are a must.
Proficiency in the use of software applications, relational databases, Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to interpret complex policies and operational protocols and make decisions related to individual circumstances.
Strong technical experience managing data, creating reports, and analyzing data.
Preferred:
Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible experience in a Registrar’s Office
Knowledge of Ellucian Banner student information system
Knowledge of CollegeNet’s Series 25
